About me
Hi, I'm Kate— a learning designer, illustrator, animator, and pianist from Aotearoa New Zealand.
I hold a Master of Education from the University of Canterbury, specialising in learning design, adult learning principles, and inclusive digital tools. My practice draws on frameworks like ADDIE, Gagné’s Nine Events, and the TELAS evaluation model to create scalable, engaging learning that meets real-world business needs.
With over a decade of experience across classroom teaching, group facilitation, and blended learning design, I’ve developed online modules, live sessions, videos, and interactive resources using tools like Articulate 360, Moodle, Teachable, Adobe Creative Suite, and Final Cut Pro.
I also bring a visual storytelling edge from my BFA (First Class Honours, Elam School of Fine Arts), where I studied video art, skills I now channel into educational content that’s both effective and beautifully crafted.
Currently obsessed with alternative approaches to music theory, classical improvisation pedagogy, oat milk coffee, Baron Hasselhoff spiced molé chocolate, and Black Doris plums.
Send me a message below—I'd love to chat about how I can help bring your learning ideas to life!
